As I commuted thru backpack searches and bomb sniffing dogs today I thought of this quote. I am going to try to keep this in mind as I move thru my days. The world would be a better place if everyone did the same don’t you think. Who knew that the Apple update could bring such Zen? Has anyone else discovered the Breathe app on the Apple Watch? Hey Squad, I was afraid to even post about my upcoming race last weekend.  I worried Mother Nature would have another trick up her sleeve just like in VA Beach.  As it turned out the race went off without a hitch. This is my second time running Philadelphia and I still say it is the best first marathon course ever.  I was fortunate to have to first timers with me and they were so inspiring! You can explain the experience to someone in very clear detail, but until they actually do it, its a mystery.  I did my best to coach them thru training and on race day. Hey Squad, The race I had planned to run tomorrow will be going on as planned but not with me.  As we tried to get from CT to Va Beach, the prediction of bad weather made us re think the plan.  When the VA governor declared a state of emergency for the upcoming storm, we turned around. Disappointed? yes, a little because I was looking forward to a fun rock and roll event.  I am very pleased that they offered refunds so I can apply it to next year.  The hotel was also great and refunded our deposit.  Thanks Hilton Garden Inn- Oceanfront We stopped in Ocean City, MD on the way home and it was like a ghost town. Hey Squad, I have not forgotten about you over the last several months, but my blog fell out of the top ten things I need to pay attention to.  Its been so busy with 90% amazing events like my daughter Laura’s wedding, family vacations and re connecting with old friends. 10% has been challenging, events like a concussion and post concussion syndrome, losing a dear young man and my personal summer (aka menopause).
